Privacy Policy
Effective 29 July 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
G12 Titan is a study platform operated under a company registered in the Republic of Zambia ("G12 Titan", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the G12 Titan website and app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
We have written it in plain language because most of our users are students. The short version: we collect very little, we never sell your information, and we show no advertising.
2. What we collect
Account information: your mobile phone number and a password. Your password is stored in protected (hashed) form — we cannot read it. We deliberately do not ask for your name, email address, date of birth, or home address to open an account.
Study activity: the questions you attempt, the answers you choose, whether they were correct, and when — this is what powers your marking, your topic mastery, and your streaks.
Payment records: when you pay for premium through mobile money, we record the transaction (the paying phone number, amount, date, and the payment provider's reference). Your mobile-money PIN is entered on your phone with your network operator — it never touches G12 Titan.
Service messages: records of the SMS messages we send you (such as verification codes and renewal reminders) and whether they were delivered.
3. What we do not collect
No advertising trackers, and no third-party analytics tools watching what you do. No location tracking. No access to your contacts, photos, or files. No collection of your name or address for a basic account.
We use only essential cookies — the ones that keep you signed in. There are no marketing or tracking cookies to consent to, because there are none.
4. How we use your information
To run the service: signing you in, marking your answers, computing your mastery and streaks, and showing you your own progress.
To process payments and manage your premium access, and to send you service SMS such as verification codes and a renewal reminder if your access lapses.
To improve the platform: we study activity in aggregate (for example, which questions most students get wrong) to improve our question bank and teaching. Aggregate insights never identify you.
We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not use your data to show you advertising.
5. Children and young people
G12 Titan is built for Grade 10–12 students, many of whom are under 18. That is exactly why we collect the minimum possible: a phone number and study activity, nothing more.
If you are under 18, you should use G12 Titan and subscribe to premium with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian — premium is paid by mobile money, which in most cases means a guardian's line or wallet is involved in any case.
Parents and guardians can contact us at any time to ask what is stored about their child's account or to ask for it to be deleted (see section 8).
6. Who we share information with
Our payment and SMS provider (currently ZynlePay), to process mobile-money payments and deliver service SMS — they receive the phone number and transaction details needed to do that and nothing more.
Our hosting providers, who store our data in secure, access-controlled data centres. These data centres may be located outside Zambia; where that is the case, the data remains under our control and protected to the standards described in this policy.
Authorities, only where the law of Zambia genuinely requires it.
Nobody else. We do not currently share any individual student's progress with schools, teachers, or parents. If we ever introduce features that do (for example, a school portal), sharing will require clear consent, and this policy will be updated before any such feature launches.
7. Security and how long we keep data
Passwords are hashed, access to production data is restricted, payment state and marking are decided on our servers rather than trusted from devices, and payment events are kept in an audit log.
We keep your account data and study history while your account exists, because your progress history is the product. Payment records are kept as long as financial record-keeping laws require.
If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise the personal data we are not legally required to keep.
8. Your rights
In line with Zambia's Data Protection Act, 2021, you may ask us: what personal data we hold about you; to correct data that is wrong; or to delete your account and its data. Guardians may exercise these rights on behalf of a child.
To make any of these requests, contact us through the contact details published on this site. We will respond within a reasonable time and will need to verify that the request comes from the account holder (or their guardian).
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters — especially anything about sharing or children's data — we will update the effective date at the top and tell signed-in users in the app before the change takes effect.
